Description
Dave Elman taught thousands of doctors and dentists Medical Hypnosis in the 1940-the 1960s. His client-centered approach and rapid and reliable Dave Elman Induction (DEI) were the initial core of his techniques. The induction takes 1-4 minutes to get a client or patient into a deep trance of somnambulism which the doctors found appropriate for their medical offices. Dave’s son, H Larry Elman, took his father’s class 3 times as a teenager alongside of the medical professionals.
This course provides Larry Elman’s unique perspective on the techniques that evolved during these years as a collaboration of the medical professionals and Dave Elman. Dave audio-recorded some of these classes over the years and compiled theory, lectures, and transcriptions into this book, which is used globally by many Hypnosis schools. Initially, it was published by Dave Elman in 1964 as “Findings in Hypnosis.” After Dave’s death, his wife Pauline published it as “Explorations in Hypnosis”. In 1977, the name was changed by Gil Boyne to “Hypnotherapy.”
Most people know Dave for his DEI (Dave Elman Induction), which encompasses about 30 pages of this 333-page volume. Together, participants will explore the other techniques to be explored in the other 300 pages.
Each week this product expands with new recordings of Cheryl and Larry Elman and the class discussion from our live Zoom Elman Book Study Course.  Classes will include approximately two chapters weekly, lectures and discussion, and will include a comprehensive study guide. The lessons will interlace records of Dave Elman teaching physicians and dentists Medical Hypnosis in the 1950-the 1960s. It will include additional videos, audio, articles, and other resources to create the community.
